Both Super Bowl teams were evenly matched, and the game was tied 14-14 at the half.  The Seahawks then earned a 10 point lead at the end of the third quarter.  Tom Brady then threw outstanding passes which brought the score to 28-24 with two minutes left in the game. But with just a minute to go, Jermaine Kearse bobbled and caught a deflected pass to put the Seahawks in scoring position.  Although the Seahawks were on the one yard line, they called a slant pass, which was intercepted, leaving the Patriots with control of the ball and the ability to run out the clock.
