From a global perspective, [[Europe]] is more secular/[[Atheism|atheistic]] than the rest of the world although it does have a considerable amount of religious immigrants who have higher birth rates (see: [[Atheist population|Atheist population]] and [[Global atheism]]). However, Europe is experiencing countervailing [[desecularization]] forces through: religious immigrants ho have higher fertility rates than moderately relgious and the sub-replacement level of fertility of the irreligious in many European countries.
