Most incidents of terrorism today are linked to Islam. They are generally motivated by the "sixth pillar of Islam," which endorses jihad or "holy war" as a way of serving their god.[1]
Islamic propaganda promoting suicide bombing based on the sixth pillar is a fairly recent development, dating to the bombing of the US Marine barracks in Beirut in 1983.
