Katherine Howard (1521 - 1542) was the fifth wife of Henry VIII, King of England. He married her on July 28, 1540 shortly after his annulment to Anne of Cleves (a marriage arranged by Thomas Cromwell) and the same day as Thomas Cromwell's execution. Katherine was young while Henry was into middle age. When she was found to be unfaithful to Henry shortly into their marriage, she was put in the Tower of London and executed in 1542.
