Jägermeister is a seventy proof German fruit flavored liqueur that is infused with herbs and is the most popular imported German liqueur. Jägermeister has been in production since 1934 and its ingredients contain a mixture of 56 roots, barks, blossoms and herbs including cinnamon from Sri Lanka, bitter oranges from Australia, ginger roots from South Asia and saffron from Spain. All of the other ingredients are kept secret by the company. The drink is meant to be kept on ice and served cold. The taste of the drink is similar to that of licorice and it is popular in many different cocktails.[1] Jägermeister is commonly mixed with Red Bull to make Jägerbombs.
