The '''Dodge Viper''' is an American [[Supercar]] made by [[Chrysler]] under the [[Dodge]] brand.  It is the first car in the world to be powered by V10.  The engine was originally designed to power the [[Dodge Ram]] truck.  It gets a bad rap from European elitists who deride it as primitive, despite its innovative features, but it still destroys its competition for a fraction of the cost.

In fact, the Viper outperforms its competition at a fraction of the cost. Some Europeans, however—Jeremy Clarkson of [[Top Gear]], for example—like it because of its simplicity.
