A chemical reaction is a process in which one or more chemical substances change their configuration by exchanging atoms or electrons. Chemical reactions are either endothermic, requiring a net input of thermal energy to complete the reaction, or exothermic, resulting in a net output of thermal energy in the products. A chemical reaction can be represented by means of a Chemical equation.
