Fallujah is a city in Iraq that has been a major area of resistance to US occupation. It is approximately 60 kilometers to the west of Baghdad on the Euphrates river. It is included in the so-called Sunni Triangle. In January 2014 Fallujah was taken over by Islamist terror organization Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.[1]
