==Christian symbolism==
One of the symbols of the [[Holy Ghost]] is fire (eg e.g. the tongues of fire in Acts 2:3). Fire is also used frequently to depict [[Hell]]; many Christians disagree on whether Hell contains literal flames or whether the flames are meant as a metaphor. According to the Bible much of the [[earth]] will be destoyed by fire during the [[End Times]].(Revelation 8:7)
