Drunk driving is a crime in all 50 U.S. states and in most countries in the civilized world. In the U.S., the definition of "drunk" has been codified in terms of blood alcohol level with .05% to .10% being the maximum allowable concentration.
Future President George W. Bush was arrested for drunk driving in 1976.[1] Vice President Dick Cheney has been arrested twice for drunk driving in the 1960s.[2]
