The Battle of Sunshine Church was an event during the [[American Civil War]], in which a battle between the [[Union]] and [[Confederate]] armies was fought, in 1864. The battle, occurring near what is now known as [[Round Oak, Georgia]], was initially enacted by the Union Major General, [[George Stoneman]], the leader of [[Stoneman's Raid]]. The result of the battle was a Confederate victory, in which General Stoneman and his army surrendered, and were captured and imprisoned by the Confederate Brigadier General, [[Alfred Iverson Jr.]]
