The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an international organization founded in 1995 to promote so-called free trade. The United States is a member of the WTO, along with 163 other nations.

In 2007, the WTO ruled that Antigua and Barbuda may have violated United States copyright laws as a sanction against it for prohibiting internet gambling.[1]
