Walter Lee Williams, (born 1948) Professor of Gender Studies at the University of Southern California, homosexual and homosexual activist, convicted for pedophile offences in 2014.

Career and Books

Williams was a pioneer of so-called Gender Studies, the pseudo-scientific exposition of LGBT theory, which passes for an academic discipline. His published works include Overcoming Heterosexism and Homophobia, and Gay and Lesbian Rights in the United States, regarded as classics in the "gay rights" movement. Williams taught anthropology, gender studies and history at USC for about two decades until 2011.

Williams won a Fullbright Award and the USC General Education Outstanding Teacher Award in 2006. But according to prosecutors, his academic work was a cover for his criminal activity.

He was described as an eminent member of the Californian LGBT community.

Connections with Pedophilia

Williams wrote a personal website that hinted he traveled to many parts of the world, including Mexico, Thailand and the Philippines, in search of boys. This led to the FBI placing him under surveillance which resulted in multiple charges for pedophile offences. The charges related to molesting at least ten boys in the Philippines, making and distributing child pornography, and sexually harassing his students and others he met for the purpose of conducting his “gender studies research”.

Williams was arrested by the Mexican police in June 2013 in Playa del Carmen, a locality south of Cancun, and charged with pedophile offences over a number of years. He was sent back to Los Angeles, to face trial for those and the offences in the Philippines. After analyzing his computer the Department of Justice issued an official statement saying that Williams contacted underage boys online and and then when he met them engaged in sex acts with each of them over a webcam. He circulated these videos and "sexually explicit photos" of the boys to other homosexuals, according to the DOJ. "I analyzed the computers and the camera that belong to Williams and found child pornography," Jeff Yesensky, FBI special agent, said. "Because of his status, he has the means and access to children, and that's what makes him dangerous. He preys on the most vulnerable children." [1]

In December 2014 Williams was convicted and sentenced to five years in jail. He was ordered to pay $25,000 in restitution to seven victims.

Prosecutors said he repeatedly traveled to the Southeast Asia/Pacific region "under the guise of academic research on sexuality".
