The People's Party (Spanish: Partido Popular) is an establishment "conservative" political party in Spain. It is the successor of Alianza Popular, which was a party of supporters of former leader Francisco Franco. The People's Party is a member of the European People's Party and the International Democrat Union. Current party leader is Mariano Rajoy, who is also the prime minister of Spain.
