The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History, written by Thomas Woods, is an overview of important events in American history, with the purpose of, as the title implies, rejecting political correctness, in order to be more historically accurate. The book is part of a larger series called the Politically Incorrect Guide Series, all published by Regnery Publishing. The book spent several weeks on the New York Times' Best Seller List.[1]
Some of the assertions made in the book are: that the American revolutionaries were Conservatives, that free markets and not the Marshall Plan brought recovery to Europe's postwar economies, and that President Johnson's War on Poverty actually increased poverty.
