Imad Mughniyah was the suspected mastermind behind the 1983 United States Embassy bombing. He is also believed to have murdered William Francis Buckley, a highly decorated CIA officer, in 1985.[1] For many years, he was the most wanted Hezbollah terrorist and was finally killed in 2008.[2]
Iran commemorated his death on the 10th anniversary in 2018.[3]
