The Terminator has spawned three sequels, ''Terminator 2: Judgment Day'' (1991), ''Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines'' (2003) and ''Terminator Salvation'' (2009).  A fifth movie, ''Terminator Genisys'' (2015), is a reboot of the franchise.  There's also a television series, ''Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles'' (2008), which is settled between the second and the third movie.  In 2017, it was announced that James Cameron would produced a sixth film with Arnold Schwartzenegger and Linda Hamilton returning.
