From the [[Latin]] for "terrible lizard", dinosaurs were a number of large [[lizard]] species who lived on Earth in prehistoric times.  Scientists who believe in an old Earth believe that dinosaurs roamed between 230 million and 65 million years ago.  Creationists believe that dinosaur bones were created by [[God]] to test the faith of believers. They believe that those who see the bones as a sign that the earth is older than 6000 years will be damned to an eternity in [Hell]].
