Kent Hovind (born 1953) is a prominent young Earth creationist and conservative. He founded Creation Science Evangelism Ministry in 1989. [1] He is well known for his standing $250,000 offer to anyone who can prove evolution. [2]
Some fellow young Earth creationists have distanced himself from Hovind because he is currently serving a ten-year term in U.S. federal prison for 58 tax offenses, obstructing federal agents and related charges, and because he has suggested a government role in the 9/11 attacks. [3]
