I took a 4 week vacation, just to get away and celebrate my retirement. Got back today and finished up the first five pages of the narrative form over the past few hours and submitted them as created finished pages. The next four pages representing chapters 36 to 63 will take a while to adapt. I'm not going to do them now, since the others I just finished took far more effort than I expected, like a demanding job, like what I did working in health-care of elderly and aging people in their own homes, but I'll wait for an opportunity to try to complete what I started. Maybe in the fall, and probably one page a month, or one chapter of text a month, I don't know yet. Anyway, it was a great four weeks. --[[User:IndependentSkeptic|IndependentSkeptic]] ([[User talk:IndependentSkeptic|talk]]) 02:42, 9 June 2020 (EDT) | I took a 4 week vacation, just to get away and celebrate my retirement. Proposal for your Harmony of the Gospel (Conservative Version): to boldface emphasize the words "the Lord", and make an audio-compatible "read aloud" edit of the text
(I posted this proposal a few days ago at Talk:Harmony of the Gospel (Conservative Version).)
I have been listening to the "shorter version" of your Harmony of the Gospel with a "Read aloud" tool on Windows 10. I would really like to go through both the "longer" and "shorter" forms of this Harmony from beginning to end, and make "Lord" and "the Lord" in every instance boldfaced, since Jesus is Lord and God (John 20:28). That would correspond to the Greek text Kyrios.
After that, I would really like to do a third edit form of this Harmony to stand alone, connected by link to the main article. It would simply be a minor punctuation edit, a version of the "shorter form" of the redacted text, just the text alone, without the marginal listings of the Bible texts at every chapter, for continuous listening, each chapter, without interruption. I have already listened to 2 of the pages, 1-7 and 8-14, and found this Harmony of the Gospel (Conservative Version) really helpful. I already have several complete audio Bibles, but the automated "Read aloud" function of Windows 10 stumbles over some of the punctuation here and weirdly mispronounces some of the names and even some of the ordinary words. If you like, I could copy and edit the text alone (a third "audio edition - Harmony of the Gospel (Conservative Version)") so that "Read aloud" reads it more naturally as a kind of "radio narrative" for people with bad vision or who are blind. I used to help as a volunteer at my state's Commission for the Blind, and I think this would be a good thing for them on Conservapedia. --IndependentSkeptic (talk) 14:08, 23 February 2020 (EST)
(Feb 25) There seems to be no objection. I'll happily go ahead with my first suggestion, and simply go through and edit a boldface emphasis of all occurrences of "the Lord" and "Lord" corresponding to Kyrios in New Testament to emphasize that Jesus is Lord and God as testified in John 20:21.

About the "audio" edit proposal. I just finished listening to "Read aloud" of the "shorter form" of chapters 15-42, and it really seems like it badly needs an edit to make it a smoother narrative for listening, especially for people with impaired vision or blind. I'd like permission to take this on.

I have been able to create a User:IndependentSkeptic/draft page to work on developing the proposed "narrative form" of Harmony of the Gospel (Conservative Version). I set up links for pages to be created, including an Introduction page and an Index page. I also nearly finished the Introduction page, including an example of the difference in a computer reading of the existing Harmony text of the Chapter Five genealogy and its reading of the same text with phonetic adaptation of spellings and punctuation proposed for the narrative form of Harmony of the Gospel. But a few moments ago the Read aloud function I've been using just stopped. Apparently a glitch. I don't know. But until it comes back, I won't be able to do any more with it in this project. I'll keep checking. --IndependentSkeptic (talk) 00:10, 7 March 2020 (EST)
I'm going to go ahead and copy and paste and edit the texts of some of the chapters from the Harmony pages to two or three of my draft page headings. Afterward, whenever the Read aloud function comes back, I'll adapt the phonetic forms needed in the chapter texts for smooth computer Read aloud narration of them. --IndependentSkeptic (talk) 00:18, 7 March 2020 (EST)
I just discovered that other people cannot get Read aloud to work, at the following link at answers.microsoft.com Read aloud function not working. I'll get in touch with my own tech support guy to see what he can do. If not, this proposed audio project is dead in the water. --IndependentSkeptic (talk) 12:33, 7 March 2020 (EST)
At least for now, it's dead. My own tech support guy said he was not familiar with the Read aloud function, but will probably need it pretty soon. He suggested that it's the system provider's problem, like Windows or the Internet, and to wait for them to fix it. I tried Ctrl+Shift+G and other suggested letters like Ctrl+Shift+F, but all I got was either no response (F) or the trail of blue beads running across the bottom edge of the top search window on the page display (G). Have to wait and see. --IndependentSkeptic (talk) 12:54, 7 March 2020 (EST)
I just checked and found that Read aloud function has been restored. --IndependentSkeptic (talk) 15:27, 7 March 2020 (EST)
A few moments ago 11:20 p.m. Standard Time my time (before Daylight Savings Time) the Read aloud function stopped again. --IndependentSkeptic (talk) 00:27, 8 March 2020 (EST)
This morning my time the Read aloud function came back about 6 am, but quit tonight my time 11:20 again. Probably going to be a daily pain in the neck. Just makes the development of this audio adaptation take longer than intended. I could work on it round the clock, but it isn't going to let me. Ok. incurable, endurable. 'Nuff said. --IndependentSkeptic (talk) 00:35, 10 March 2020 (EDT)
I'm going to complete as many drafts of the pages of the narrative form as possible on my draft page, before posting them as finished on what I assume you call "main space" of created articles. --IndependentSkeptic (talk) 15:51, 13 March 2020 (EDT)
Back Apr 2 I finally discovered what to do when "Read aloud" function quits during edit!- save page, go to start page, restart, access draft page, refresh F5, and resume. Voila! very small delay! Ya-ha-ha! --IndependentSkeptic (talk) 14:09, 8 April 2020 (EDT)
My best editing times 10:00 pm up to Conservapedia "closing time" 2:30 am
These are the hours I don't get any interruptions and can best concentrate. I suppose if Conservapedia continued to provide available editing time all night I'd probably be up all night. Anyway, "thanks" for the reminder to get a good night's sleep. --IndependentSkeptic (talk) 23:59, 10 May 2020 (EDT)
Return from vacation, plan for completion of audio narrative form later

I quit - notice of quitting Conservapedia copied from my note on talk page of Dataclarifier
