Dropbox is an online service that lets you share files between different computers.
Calculating Folder Size
How can I calculate the size of a folder?
- It says I'm using 5GB of 8.75 GB but I need to know which folders are the biggest.
- I tried clicking the box next to my "ELA" folder and then going over to the right pane to click the ellipsis (...) button. I get a bunch of commands, but I couldn't find the "Calculate Size" command. Where is it, please? :-)
To calculate Dropbox folder size
- Go to the "All files" overview on the website
- Make sure one of the columns says "Size".
- For example, if it says "Type"
- Click on "Type" and a menu pops up
- Choose Show | Size from the pop-up menu
- In the right column, choose the ellipsis (...) button and pick "Calculate size" from the pop-up menu.
* Note: if none of your columns says "Size" at the top, this won't work!
