Aston Donald McEachin (born October 10, 1961 (age 64)) is a lawyer and liberal Democrat currently representing Virginia's 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He previously served in the Virginia State Senate from the 9th district, and in the state's House of Delegates from the 74th district.
McEachin is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus.

U.S. House of Representatives
2016 election
McEachin ran for and won election to the United States House of Representatives in 2016 from Virginia's 4th district, defeating Republican opponent Michael Wade by fifteen percentage points.[2]
2018 election
Rep. McEachin was easily re-elected in the 2018 Midterms in a landslide.[3]
Tenure
In mid-July 2019, McEachin rebuked the far-left Justice Democrats for attempting to oust members of the Congressional Black Caucus over concerns of not being liberal enough.[4]
Strongly anti-2nd amendment, Rep. McEachin suggested in December 2019 that Gov. Ralph Northam should employ the National Guard to enforce gun control laws.[5] The Virginia National Guard responded in saying that they "will not speculate" about being employed in the manner McEachin proposed.[6]
On February 27, 2020, McEachin co-sponsored the Environmental Justice for All Act introduced by progressive Democrat Raul Grijalva,[7] a bill aimed at environmental "justice" for minority communities suffering from greater pollution.[8] It is important to note that these are the same areas that tend to be highly liberal and run by Democrats.
