The Terminator has spawned three sequels, ''Terminator 2: Judgment Day'' (1991), ''Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines'' (2003) and ''Terminator Salvation'' (2009).  A fifth movie, ''Terminator Genisys'' (2015), is a reboot of the franchise.  There's also a television series, ''Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles'' (2008), which is settled between the second and the third movie.  ''Terminator: Dark Fate'' (2019) sees the return of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor, and James Cameron as producer.  Cameron has stated that this is the sequel to T2, ignoring the previous three films.
