(The example box at the right has parameters set as follows:

- width. The width of the box. Currently defaults to "12em" to suit the current list, but this could be changed if the list is changed.
- background. The colour of the background. If set to "off", the background colour of the box will be the background colour of the page or containing box. If not set, it defaults to #F9F9aa.
- float. Sets the CSS float property for the box. Normally you would use either "left" or "right". The default is no floating.
