Ohm's law is a mathematical relationship of three variables in an electronic circuit containing a resistive element. It states that the current passing through a resistive element is proportional to the voltage across the resistive element and inversely proportional to the resistance of the resistive element.
In mathematical terms, this is written as:
Where
- I: Current through resistive element
- V: Voltage across resistive element
- R: Resistance of resistive element
