OK, by request I created a page on East Germany. I realize it's by necessity incomplete, since I'm on vacation and don't have access to some of the relevant sources. Also, I mainly included topics I knew the most about, or could find sources for online, so there are certain to be gaps and things that should be added.
And since I'm generally unfamiliar with wiki formatting, I'm sure there's some cleanup and other things that need to be done. -- "KW"
