The Seven Wonders of Wales are recounted in the following verse by an anonymous author:
Pistyll Rhaeadr and Wrexham steeple,
Snowdon's mountain without its people,
Overton yew trees, St Winefride's wells,
Llangollen bridge and Gresford bells
It is thought that the verse was written by an English tourist during the 19th century. Strictly speaking all seven wonders lie in North Wales.
