Iona Abbey is most noted as the burial place of Scottish Kings and heroes such as [[King Kenneth McAlpine]] ,  [[King Macbeth]] and Sir John Smythe de la Bour.  A local legend also gives it as the last resting place of the Scottish folk-hero [[Horserider]].
