Age discrimination is the result of actions taken to deny or limit opportunities to people based on age. These are usually actions taken as a result of one's ageist beliefs and attitudes. Age discrimination occurs on both a personal and institutional level. Or may be even told (most common in today's "[[Progressivism|progressive]]" liberal-globalist Western society) to be too old to date or be just sexually attracted to much younger people and to have a much younger partner.<ref>{{Cite web |title=Prejudice against age-gap couples |url=https://www.wakemag.org/online/2019/12/9/prejudice-against-age-gap-couples |access-date=2022-07-14 |website=The Wake |language=en-US}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web |last=Bishop |first=Katie |title=Age gaps: The relationship taboo that won't die |url=https://www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20220317-age-gaps-the-relationship-taboo-that-wont-die |access-date=2022-07-14 |website=www.bbc.com |language=en}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web |title=Why People Still Look Down on Couples with a Major Age Differences {{!}} Psychology Today |url=https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/talking-apes/202101/why-people-still-look-down-couples-major-age-differences |access-date=2022-07-14 |website=www.psychologytoday.com |language=en}}</ref><ref>{{Cite journal |last=Sela |first=Yael |last2=Pham |first2=Michael N. |last3=Mogilski |first3=Justin K. |last4=Lopes |first4=Guilherme S. |last5=Shackelford |first5=Todd K. |last6=Zeigler-Hill |first6=Virgil |date=2018-08-01 |title=Why do people disparage May–December romances?
