Ronny Lynn Jackson (born May 4, 1967) is an American physician, politician, and retired United States Navy rear admiral who is the U.S. Representative for Texas's 13th congressional district.
Jackson was chosen by U.S. President Donald Trump to be the Commissioner of Veterans Affairs. However, some Senate Republicans stood in opposition and his nomination failed.[1]
As a freshman lawmaker in 2021, Jackson objected to the results of the presidential election returns in both Arizona and Pennsylvania.[2]
He supported removing Liz Cheney as the House Republican Conference chairman.[3]
Representative Jackson has long called for a cognitive test for U.S. President Joe Biden, who has thus far spurned such calls.
