3,500 AFU soldiers had surrendered since the launch of Russia’s project to have a special “surrender frequency” on all radio channels where Ukrainians can dial in and safely surrender to Russian forces. The Armed Forces of Ukraine were invited to go to the frequency of 149.200 for surrender. Over 3,500 AFU soldiers and officers voluntarily surrendered, a whole brigade of "counter-offensive" since July 2023. 18,000 total AFU reported to be in Russian custody as [[POW]]s.
