Mufid Fawaz Alkhader is the Arab Muslim terrorist, who, on Oct 7, 2023, as Hanukkah celebrations were to begin, the Islamist Akhader fired two rounds from a shotgun on the front steps of the Temple Israel,[1] in Albany, NY.[2][3]
Alkhader called out: 'Free Palestine,' and fled the scene of the incident. He has been arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.[4]
The staff noticed the armed man outside the building. They immediately placed the building on lockdown, including an early childhood center filled with small children.[2] "At least two dozen preschool children were on the premises at the time."[5]
Born in Iraq, naturalized US citizen of Schenectady, NY.[4] Aged 28, at the time of arrest.
The court was told, Allhader's English is limited.
It happened on the days of operation Swords of Iron.
"State and federal law enforcement agencies were investigating the shooting incident at the Temple Israel in Albany as antisemitic incidents are on the rise nationwide two months into the war between Israel and the Hamas militant group in Gaza."[5]

Alkhader made a brief appearance Friday morning in federal court. Dressed in an orange jumpsuit and a gray overcoat, he told U.S. Magistrate Judge Christian Hummel that he struggled to understand English. “My English is limited,” he said.
