Harvey C. Mansfield was a long-time government professor at Harvard who was the leading conservative on the campus from 1962 to 2023, after graduating from the college in 1953, and ultimately retired at the age of 93 as one of its longest-serving professors ever. He wrote a particularly significant book entitled Manliness.

Professor Mansfield voted for Mike Pence in 2016 (rather than Trump), and then for Trump in 2020, and then turned against him based on the J6 Capitol protests.
