The Illustrated London News is a British news magazine founded in 1842. From 1842 to 1971 it was a weekly publication but currently appears twice yearly. Nineteenth-century editions of the ILN are a valuable historical resource both for their wide-ranging reportage and allso for their numerous high-quality engravings.
