Imperial County (Spanish: Condado de Imperial) is a county located on the southeast border of the U.S. state of California. As of the 2020 census, the population was 179,702, making it the least populous county in Southern California. Just like other border counties beside borders, The county shifted heavily to right during 2024 US presidential election, and president was able to flip it, which no Republican presidential candidate was able to do that since George Bush in 1988.[1]
