Addiction and Psalms entail many powerful verses in the Book of Psalms which are helpful in overcoming addiction. Everyone suffers from some kind of addiction, and the most-read book of the Bible (Psalms) contains much in self defense. Examples include:
| “ | The Lord is my light and my salvation;
When evildoers assail me
Though an army encamp against me,
|
” |
Psalm 118:
V 6:
| “ | The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do unto me. | ” |
V 13:
| “ | I was pushed hard, so that I was falling, but the LORD helped me. | ” |
| “ | Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will bear you; He shall never allow a righteous man to falter. | ” |
| “ | I shall say of the Lord [that He is] my shelter and my fortress, my God in Whom I trust. | ” |
