Orc (Middle-earth)

Orcs are a race of fictional humanoids originally created by J.R.R. Tolkien in The Lord of the Rings. Belief in them has been propagated through fantasy entertainment such as Dungeons and Dragons and Warcraft. In The Lord of the Rings, they are said to be the result of the corruption of Elves. They do not like the light and prefer dark places. They like caves such as the Mines of Moria. They enjoy destruction and serve evil in Middle Earth such as Sauron and Saruman.
