−	Siddhartha Gautama (563-483 B.C.) founded Buddhism, motivated by the suffering in the old and sick people about him, especialy be an instance when he saw a corpse. Siddhartha meditated under a tree for a long time, and when he emerged from his meditation, he proclaimed only himself to be enlightened.
