Oriental Orthodox were created

  • Most of the Oriental Orthodox churches were created by the Chalcedonian Schism of 451 AD.
  • However the Malankara Orthodox Church in India became Autocephalous church under the Catholicos of the Apostolic throne of St. Thomas due to distance. It was never able to attend Church councils.
