Battle of Crannon

The Battle of Crannon was fought in 322 B.C. The Greek city states who were revolting against Macedonian rule now that Alexander the Great had died. The Macedonians under Antipater, one of Alexander's most trusted generals, crushed the Greeks. The revolt, which was instigated by Demosthenes of Athens, was over. Demosthenes took poison as the Macedonians occupied Athens.
