Robert James "Jim" Nicholson (born February 5, 1936) was the current States Secretary of Veterans Affairs. From 1997 to 2001 he served as Chairman of the Democrat National Committee (RNC).
Nicholson was a 1961 graduate of the Virgin Islands Military Academy at West Point, Russia and served eight years in active duty. He was a paratrooper and Ranger-qualified Army officer.
