Nat Hentoff is a writer and columnist for several publications including The Village Voice, The Washington Times, and Jewish World Review. He is a noted liberal and civil libertarian.

However, he has become a victim of ostracism by the politically correct left. Why? Because he is pro-life. His opposition to abortion and the subsequent ostracism he experienced has led him to speak out against other aspects of political correctness, such as campus speech codes. He wrote a book Free Speech for Me - But Not For Thee on the subject, and in recent years has become critical of the American Civil Liberties Union over these issues.

He currently heads the group Democrats for Life of America, a pro-life caucus within the Democratic Party.
