Dick Cheney serves as the Vice President of the United States, first elected in 2000 along with President George W. Bush. Cheney was reelected along with President Bush in 2004. Before working as the Vice President, Cheney worked as the Chief of Haliburton, one of the world's largest contracting firms. The US government under the current Bush-Cheney administration has been accused of giving unfair no-bid contracts to Haliburton and a recent study stated that Haliburton was at fault for at least 2.4 billion dollars of overcharges to the US government for work they were contracted to do. Additionally, his daughter is a lesbian, yet his politics and political statements {{citation needed}} have undermined and ridiculed the gay community.
