Hi Bethany. I think it's great that you are adding so many new articles, especially the American History related ones. Can I offer a suggestion? (well I will anyway haha) It would help readers if you started with a more powerful lead in sentence. For example, I just read your [[Benjamin O. Davis Jr.]] article, and I didn't realize he was a member of the Tuskegee Airmen till the very end, which is something that is very important about him. Something similar to this - <Person> was/is a <occupation, or whatever they are noteworthy for> who is famous for <whatever they are most well known for>. That will serve to grab the reader's attention, they will know what the article is about, and then can read further to gain more information.

No. I just like to keep a record that way. You do have to keep a record page of your edits for the contest that the judges can view. Eventually, it is going to be more than mere "cut and paste" from the DANFS site. If, for example, you upload "South Carolina", you'll have it listed as South Carolina", and people looking at the catagory will see "South Carolina"...they will not see "South Carolina (BB-22)" or "South Carolina (CGN-37)" or the other three ships because they're not labled that way in the heading. So in the future, move each one into a new label, begining with "USS", and catagorize each one as needed (USS ''South Carolina'' (CGN-37) would fall under nuclear-powered cruisers).
