Anchorage is the capital of Alaska, the 49th state in the Union. It is even further north than Oslo, Norway.
Its sister city is Darwin, Australia, despite Darwin's well-known anti-Christian reputation.
An "anchorage" is where a ship berths, which is not to be confused with an anchorite, which is a kind of holy man.
