Osama Bin Laden actually appears (uncredited) as a tribal leader in the American blockbuster Rambo III [1]. This is a well-known statement, based on the presence of Rambo III filming in Afghanistan, Bin Laden's then friendliness with US interests, and the presence of a lot of extras. I think this should be included. [2]

How is Bin Laden responsible for the 9/11/01 attack if he is not wanted for it?

Bin Laden has not been found guilty for the 9/11/01 attack, although he has been found guilty for other crimes. How about mentioning those (at least first) before mentioning something of which he hasn't even been convicted?

Taliban "emerging" out of mujaheddin

The Taliban most assuredly did not "emerge from" the mujaheddin, despite what the cited source, commondreams.org (which bills itself as "breaking news and views for the progressive [read liberal] community"), says. Even [CNN http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/9610/05/taleban/] can get it right—the Taliban arose in opposition to the muj. At most, some of the muj may have defected to the Taliban. The idea that US aid to the muj "in the 80s" (to use commondreams.org's phrase) led to 9/11 is simply a liberal myth. Traditional Conservative 23:53, 9 September 2007 (EDT)
