Often called "the brains behind Bush" or "the Architect", Rove is credited as the chief architect of the 2000 and 2004 presidential campaigns. Democrats have acused him of rumormongering to win these campaigns however.  Some claim Rove spread lies about John McCain having an illegitamete black child.  Republicans responded to this by saying that, like everything else wrong in this country, that it was Hilary Clinton's fault.
