:::::: I'm not sure what relevance "non-English speaking people" have for an ''English'' language encyclopaedia, but apart from that, perhaps you are correct.  I actually decided that I better look up "arcane" to be sure I understood the word, and it wasn't quite what I thought it was.  ''Arcane:  mysterious; secret; obscure.''  Yes, I guess for many people the British nobility is a bit mysterious and obscure.  But then I could say much the same about calculus, quantum theory, and definitely the American system for electing presidents which I've ''never'' been able to comprehend!  But isn't an encyclopaedia intended to demystify the mysterious and clarify the obscure?  [[User:Philip J.
