Deborah was the third Judge of Isreal. After Ehud dies Isreal does evil again, and the Lord delivers them into the hands of the Canaanites.

The King of Canaan, Jabin, and his captain Sisera made their stand at the river Kishon. Deborah was a prophetess at this time and the Lord told her Barak, the son of Abinoam, would lead an army against Sisera. She sent for him (he was from Naphtali, she lived in Ephriam) and told the Lord had commanded him to gather an army to Mount Tabor. He asked Deborah to go with him and they marshalled ten thousand men. "An Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the Lord hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the Lord gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him."[1] They killed all the Canaanites because the Lord "discomfited" them, and Sisera ran away on foot.

Jael was the wife of Heber. She saw Sisera and invited him in to her tent when he was running from Barak. She gave him a blanket and milk (he had asked for water) and while he was asleep and she drove a nail into his skull. So Sisera died and Isreal repented.
