Zero (written "0") is a non-natural number that serves as an additive identity. It has sometimes been regarded as conceptually problematic, and was excluded from classical Greek mathematics[1], though it eventually gained acceptance in Europe as a result of contact with Muslim mathematical though [2]. Zero differs from other real and imaginary numbers in that division by it is not possible[3] - in fact, this property of zero lies at the heart at a number of fallacious mathematical arguments.[4]
